The best way to learn is just to get some clay and a few tools and start playing with it. I've never taken any sculpting classes, it's all been learned from online tutorials, a few books (check out Katherine Dewey's they're excellent), and a lot of practice. I can't underestimate that it's practice and work at it that is the most important thing.
