Well I'm back, the site was down for a couple days, still not totally sure what happened. Just a minor update for now, I have some art coming soon, but for now I've updated my contact page for those of you who IM you can now talk to me over AIM, Yahoo, or MSN Messenger.

Christmas Addition

New addition to the Animal Ornaments page. Okay so it's not a real animal it's a dragon, I made this for my best friend and her husband for Christmas. I also made a few other ornaments in different styles for various relatives but I did them last minute so I don't have photos.

Big change and a fun one at that! If you check the navigation you will now see a "Gifts to Buy" button which will take you to a page where you can directly order some of my selected small pieces such as jewelry and ornaments through PayPal just by clickign the "Buy Now" button next to each item. Also got some brand new Cephalopod Pendants in Misc.

Got to give big thanks to Cephalopodcast for featuring my Octopuppy for International Cephalopod Awareness Day. Still working on a gradual site revamp, all my 2d art can now be found under that link and my contact page now has a featured place in the navigation.

Just small update today. I broke up my sculpture gallery into two pages, page one is sculptures from now back to 2005 and page 2 is sculpture from 2004 and earlier.

Well the art show was not the success that I wanted it to be. Please check out my blog entry for the full story. Huge thanks to everyone on the Shiflett Bros forum for helping cheer me up, it helped a lot. As you probably noticed I ditched the splash page. What I found looking at my page stats is that a certain percentage of visitors didn't click through from it. Also I added a few links to the Sculpting Resources page in Tutorials.

I love cephalopods.

Widdle Baby Turtle Sculpture

Brand new sculpture a widdle baby turtle hatching out of it's shell. I've also got a new blog feed script that is up and running nicely. It is javascript so I'm very sorry to anyone with javascript disabled who cannot see it. You'll just have to take my word for it that my blog is interesting.

Countdown to the Shy Closeted and Novice Art Show

Countdown to the Shy, Novice and Closeted Art Show! It's this Saturday July 7th at 18 High Street in Bethel, ME. That's just behind the Key Bank, next to the flower shop. Saturday is also the day for the big Art Show on the Commons at the top of Main Street. It'll be a festive fun day for all art lovers including activities for kids. Keep an eye on the Noadi's Art Blog for all the photos and stories about how it went. I'm also officially registered for the Moore Art - Festival in the Park, which will be on August 11th (12th is the rain date) from 9am-4pm in South Paris, Maine. I'm really excited about this one, it'll be my first outdoor art show with my own booth.

Shy Closeted and Novice Art Show

I'll be participating in the 3rd Annual Shy Closeted and Novice Art Show which will be taking place on Saturday July 7th at 18 High Street in Bethel, ME. This is the same day as a larger art show on the commons so it'll be a great day for all art lovers. I'll be at the show pretty much all day if you'd like to chat.

Quick update today. I made some pendants which I decided to call Cthulhu's Gems (another suggestion was Davey Jones' Tears but as much as I love Pirates it would just feel like cashing in on the movie too much for me). I think they're cute in a really creepy way.

New Tutorial and Site Changes

No new art today but some changes to the site. First I have a new addition to the Tutorials, it's not really a tutorial per se, it's a page of Online References for Sculptors that I hope will be useful. I played with the design of this page some and made it a bit prettier. I fixed a problem with the back buttons that were causing trouble for some IE users. Also since I've heard a few complaints about having a hard time finding my contact information (apparently the FAQ wasn't clear enough) so I've created a contact page, hopefully it clears up any confusion.

Busy, busy, Noadi.

Lots of updates today. First of all, the Elements Gallery is opening in it's new location this weekend! If you are in the Bethel, ME area check it out on Walker's Mills Road by True North and see some of my artwork along with lots of other great work by other local artists. I've started putting some thumbnails next to news posts that includes new artwork. I also have more gargoyles done! So check them out in Misc. Art and I'm also working on a few other jewelry designs so keep an eye out for those over the next couple weeks.
